Royals - Big Moose Champs!
Posted July 6, 2012
The Royals went into Kenosee playing good baseball and things did not change as they won the 2012 edition of the Big Moose Tournament. They defeated Arcola 14-2 and Kenosee 15-0 to finish first in their pool. This put them up against Lampman in the quarter final who they defeated 11-1. They then took on the Stallions in the semi final and despite going down 5-0 after one inning the Royals battled back and defeated the Stallions by a score of 9-6. This put them in the final against the host Carlyle Cardinals who had defeated both the Outlaws and the Regina A's to make the final. Once again the Royals were down heading into the fifth inning where they exploded for 7 runs. The final score was 10-4 in favor of the Royals. The team hit extremely well all weekend long and were lead by Braden and Cole Bauml who hit three and two homeruns respectively. Also hats off to the pitchers Luke Strueby, Paul Strueby, Mathew Strueby, and Brent Puetz who pitched well all weekend long. It was once again a great weekend for the boys!!! A big thanks to the host Carlyle Cardinals for putting on an excellent tourney!
