Typical Saturday

The day started off like any other against the Longhorns. Pre-game the Dbacks were getting ready had already claimed a dugout and the Longhorns in their typical douchey style waited until they were all over at the cage and then proceeded to move their entire team into the dugout. We let it slide as they have the commissioner on their team and are allowed to do whatever they want without worry of consequences.

Dbacks were "short staffed" missing 5 regular starters for game 1 and 8 for game 2. The bench picked up the slack for game one as they have all season behind solid pitching from Big Tom. Defense was average with no real costly errors. Some clutch hitting from Scooter and Rhett kept us up and then Trask hit a big two run bomb to seal the deal. Longhorns in their second douche move of the day proceeded to pout and hit the next hitter with the pitchers best 70MPH fastball of the day. Tom had just enough gas in the tank to finish it off anbd give the Longhorns their second league loss on the year.

Game two got exciting in the second inning  on a fielders choice where the umpire forgot that he had to call both outs, called a very clearly safe SS at first without even looking. The Longhorns in a baffling move started walking off the field. With no time called on what turned out to be a null play due to umpire confusion. SS took second as the longhorns through the ball into center. With the ball well into center already the short stop "fell" onto SS and proceeded to lay there until the ball was picked up. As he then tried to get up SS pushed him back down for pulling the third douche move of the day. The benches cleared; well mostly as 3 Dbacks were too good to be part of the team. Rumour has it punches were thrown but this is a fallacy as only the smallest guy on their team tried to do anything and he tried ripping the jersey but realized he was too old and weak. Cooler heads prevailed and the game continued. In his next AB the Longhorns in the final douche move of the day tried intentionally hitting the second man of the day. Missing horribly twice the ump finally stopped laughing and gave him a warning. Funny thing was it was a 2-1 game at that point and later in the AB SS leaned in to a pitch to get on base.

The wheels fell off in the bottom of the 5th as the defense failed with only 1 player in his regular defensive spot. The Longhorns put up 9 in the top. At least they had a couple well hit balls and it wasn't all our own terrible play. There was no retaliation for any of the bush league antics of the Longhorns. That’s a classy organization.
