Royals down Outlaws and take two from Guns

The Royals played the Outlaws on Friday July 20th and behind a complete game from Luke Strueby won by a score of 3-2. The Royals only managed five hits in the win with Cole Bauml and Kyle Yarskie leading the way with two a piece. Luke actually didn't allow an earned run as we made two errors which the Outlaws capitalized on for both their runs.
The Royals took on the Smoking Guns in Marysburg on Sunday. The first game saw the boys win 3-2 in 8 innings. Dean Jaeb pitched a fantastic game as he only gave up four hits. The defense didn't make an error. This is exactly what was needed as the bats were pretty quiet with only three hits. Brent Puetz hit a two run homerun to pace the attack.
The next game saw the Royals win by a score of 6-0. Brett Yarskie and Eric Bollefer really stepped up for the Royals on the mound as Brett threw four innings and Eric threw the final three to secure the win. They only gave up two hits. The defense was good as there was only one error. The bats were lively with eleven hits with Luke Strueby leading the with three. Next action for the Royals is Tuesday at 6:30pm against the Guns at Cairns.
