Wrangled

On a perfect Monday evening the Dbacks showed why they carry a 37 man roster with only 12 showing up and one of those retired after striking out (In the third inning IMDB came in to the dugout said he was hurt and wanted out.  He hung up his jersey and his hat and walked away without saying anything else.  He was worried about winning the Vadge Badge award and wanted to stop any further points accumulation.  With his actions he has won his final award ever for the Dbacks and will be noted with an * in the history books as he would have been the clear winner on a full season). 

SS was on the mound after a frustrating round of 36 holes(shooting and estimated +253).  He arrived at the park early to find the Guntz starting their pre game full practice.  The pitching was the same as it always is with SS; On his way to 1ER he had: many jams, tons of base runners, a few key errors, many bleeders and infield singles & 2 well hit balls (one of which he tried deflecting with his shin to Fabby however he just couldn't find the right angle and it was another infield single).  Average distance of their hits was nearly 90'.  The bats were really non existent yet again.  Their guy threw a lot of two seams and we could only muster a few hits and did not capitalize on their errors (clearly they need to up their infield practice schedule to 7 days a week).  

The difference in the game was the Guntz strong execution on the offensive side.  They stole many bases, had a picture perfect hit and run, and scored runs when we kicked it around.  Practice makes perfect. 

In other news Captain tight pants has now been added to the ugliest K's of the year race with Nelly & SS.
