Axemen at Augusta

Making the journey to Augusta the Axemen faced off against the Athletics. Brady Nelson started on the mound for the Axemen. Nelson threw all seven innings, had ten strikeouts, four walks, and gave up seven hits and five runs, earning himself the win. The Axemen's lumber came alive with a total of 24 hits. Adam Ryan led the offense going 5x6 with 2 HR, 3B, 6 RBI's, and scoring 4 times. Mike Stoughtenger also helped lead the offense by going 4x4 with 2 2B, 4 RBI's, and scoring 3 times. The Axemen defense did commit five errors, but their offense was able to provide enough runs to earn the win. The final score of the game was 21-5 in seven innings (ten-run-rule came into play in the seventh). The Axemen's record is now 7-5 with one more game left of the summer.
