Oct 26/12

It is now october... and the Reds season is over.. after many needed improvements to home of the Reds the Jim Karn Feild, the Reds will make some off season moves as well. The first year manager Justin Johnson didnt have as great of first year as a manager would have wanted but starting 7-0 was a good feeling. The Reds did have some new faces this season as well as a couple veterans. This years season was filled with highs and lows later in the season it was mostly lows but that should give some charater to next years team. Next season will be a season to build on. The rookie will now be in there second year and the veterans will have another season under there belts. We hope to add a few more players to roster agian next year hopefully have some of the same faces back out there as well maybe some of the local assets, you know the Ben Wilson's Kit gilbert's chito longoria's the Matt Morin's and maybe add a some more rural tallent as well to add to the core that is already in place guys like Paul smith. If there is one thing i can say about this years team its that we have alot of leadership in the veterans. We are sad to say that long time players like Aaron Motl and possibly Ben Parkin may have played there last out last inning had thier last at bats as Reds and that sad to see, we will also miss Skip Toops now theres a player that is hard to replace a guy that can play every day gives you his best every pitch and can play anywhere you put him even a great asset on the pine! We how ever are still in need of a dominant Ace something the Reds havent had for a few years now. Haveing said all of that there is still only one goal for next year and that is to head south in August for the state tourniment!!! Hope to see all you fans out there next summer and thanks for the support this summer have a great winter every one, and please be safe!!
