D-Backs Crush Mets 15-2

Posted June 7, 2013

Game started out well for the D-Backs as they put up 5 runs in the first inning against the Mets' meatballer.  This was highlighted by Gazelle's monster bomb to left-centre in his first FMBA at bat this year.  Scouts were impressed.

The first inning ended when Flow - in quite possibly the most bush-league move of the year to date - refused to take first after being awarded an HBP.  Obviously, his newfound managerial power makes him think he can do what he wants.  Naturally, he took advantage of this opportunity and grounded out to third to end the inning.

After the 80-pitch first inning it was obvious to everyone, except Mets management, that the bullpen needed to get going.  Obviously, they had a different plan as they allowed their starter to throw approx. 268 pitches over 7 innings.  Then, exercising the powers of logic and reason, Mets pitchers were spotted throwing pens after the game.

Killer started for the D-Backs and showed a decrease in fascism, recording only two strikeouts while letting the Mets put the ball in play and keeping his pitch count to a minimum.  Saunders came in after 3 and intially looked rusty, but managed to loosen up and get work in.  He was also called for a balk on the newly-illegal fake third, throw to first move.  The Field, BC native was quoted as saying "We don't have TV, and I have yet to receive a message via carrier pidgeon." Sam shut the door in the 7th.

Bottom of the order hit well, with On-Base-Andy and Big Red accounting for 5 RBIs.  New recruits Ass-Hacks and Skinny JR showed promise.

After watching a Domingo Ayala YouTube video entitled "How to get more playing time", Andy charged after a ball in the gap and promptly body-checked All-Star, Gold Glove center fielder Garret Regan to the ground.  Andy was overheard saying, "What mang, you semi-pro?"

MVP - Kraus            IMDB - SnapShow, for thinking there's more fun in France than on the D-Backs. Also for not showing up to say good-bye. You jerk.
