Tough One Boys

Posted July 5, 2013

On Thursday night the Outlaws took on the Smokin Guns for the late evening match at Cairns.

The guns jumped out early scoring a couple in the second and third to go up 4 -0 early on. They added one more in the 4th to make it 5 to 1 after 4. In the bottom of the 5th the Outlaws put up 6 runs to take the lead. Frenchy  pitched great and ran out of gas in the 6th and this gave way to the good old battery change. Vogel went into pitch , and Frenchy into catch. After recording two quick outs in the top of 7, the guns were able to manufacture a run and tie the game. The Outlaws had a good shot to win in the bottom of the 7th and couldnt capitilize. The guns got one in the top of the 8th and won the game when the Outlaws couldnt answer.

The Outlaws were led by Mike Pavlov who showed that perhaps he should still be playing .Pav went 3 for 4 legging out 2 infield singles and his patented off field single. Dunner had 4 RBI ,frenchy was 1 for 1 , herp had 2 hits ,as did Freezy.

Next action is next Thursday July 11
