The Crookston Reds will play a double header in Roseau tomorrow Sunday. Last night the Reds headed down highway 102 to take on the Fertile Bees. It took the Reds a few inning to get going. The 5th inning was time for the Red to hang a crooked number and they did the inning started with a strike out Skip Toops then tied the record for most hit by pitches (28) a double by Dave Grabowski would put runners at 2nd and 3rd. A pop out followed by a walk would load the bases with two outs. A walk to Kiefer Prudhomme would bring in Toops, Wheelhouse would be hit in the back to bring in Grabowski and Kody Kawlewski would single to bring in Sam Brule. The Reds would go on to add another in the 6th and 2 in the 7th. The 8th was a big inning for the Crookston Reds as they would tack on 6 more runs. For the Reds the big new was Skip Toops taking the all time career lead with 29 HBP. Dave Grabowski was 4-5 with 3 rbi’s, 2 doubles. Paul Smith and Sam Brule both had a double on the day. The Reds now move to 3-9 on the season and will head up to Roseau on Sunday to finish up league play.
