2013 North/ South All-star game loaded with prospects

Posted July 14, 2013

Here’s a look at five things to look for during All-Star Sports Week:

1. Prospects galore: The Class of 2014 is likely one of the deepest and most talented group of basketball prospects the state has produced in at least a decade.

And nearly all of the top prospects are slated to play in this week's all-star game.

Wenonah point guard Justin Coleman and recent UAB commitment Lewis Sullivan headline the North squad, although all eyes will on 7-foot-2 Hokes Bluff center Isaac Haas. Versatile guard Riley Norris, at 6-foot-7, and Parrish's LaBarrius Hill, another springy 6-foot-7 athlete, give Coleman two more capable teammattes.

The South counters with 6-foot-9 shot-blocker William Lee of Dallas County, 6-foot-6 guard T.J. Lang of McGill-Toolen, recent Mississippi State commitment Demetrius Houston, and Brantley guard Wesley Person Jr.

The one-on-one encounters between Haas and Lee should be a fan favorite.
