15 hits not enough!

The boys took on the Diggers on Monday night with a skeleton crew of 9 guys. The bats were hot and Gimmer rode a 6 nothing lead into the 5th. The Diggers bats woke up and they tied the game in the bottom of the 5th with a 6 spot. Skip was ready to go to Palmer earlier in the inning but Gimmer assured Skip he would finish it, which he did, he just finished it at first base. Palmer came in and kept the game tied striking out the Diggers leadoff batter with the bags juiced.
The Outlaws added 2 more in the top of 6th but the Diggers responded with two of their own in the bottom. The boys threatened in the top of 7 but couldnt cash in, and the Diggers capitilized in the bottom of the 7th to steal one the Outlaws thought they had in hand earlier.
Gimmer pitched 4 strong innings and ran out of gas in the 5th. Palmer came in and did a job but also ran out of gas near the end.
The bats were led by Vogel going 4 for 4 and skip pounding out 3 hits. The whole team combined for 15 so a good effort with the sticks.
Next action is Wednesday at 9 against the Stallions.
