Frogs defeat Sacred Heart to earn a spot in championship game

The Bird Island Bullfrogs earned a spot in the Cornbelt League Championship game, and an automatic bid to the Region 11C tournament with a 13-5 win over the Sacred Heart Saints on Friday night.
The Frogs scored 13 runs off of 11 hits, including home runs by Elliot Serbus, Mark Neubuer and Logan Swan.
Dylan Gass pitched 6-2/3 innings in releif and closed the door on the Saints.

With the win, the Frogs record improves to 18-5 on the year.
The Bird Island Bullforgs have to now wait until Friday, and host the team coming through the loser's bracket.
The game Friday Night will be at 7:30.
