Royals go 2-1

The Royals had three games this past week winning two of them and dropping one. The first game saw the Royals defeat the Diggers by a score of 2-1. Craig Mcwillie tossed a complete game gem for the Royals and coach Johb got the game winning hit in the tight game. On Thursday the Royals travelled to Saskatoon for a double dip against the Guns and the Diggers. The first game saw the Royals win 6-3 behind a strong complete game from Paul Strueby. The next game saw the Royals lose to the Diggers by a score of 7-4. Fifth generation Royal Brett Doepker made his debut on the mound for the Royals and pitched a very good 5 and 1/3 before giving way to Eric Bollefer. Next action for the Royals is this Sunday in Marysburg beginning at NOON instead of the usual 1pm when the Outlaws come out to Marysburg for two games. The Royals are looking to clinch first with a pair of victories. Come out and watch the last action of the year in Marysburg.
