BASE By Pros Education Day

Greetings!

My name is Mitchell Canham and I am currently a player in the KC Royals organization. Now that I am home for the winter, I wanted to reach out and pass on a handout we made for the upcoming Education Day event at the University of Washington. This event is going to be very beneficial to high school student athletes, parents of athletes, and even high school and summer ball coaches.

I thought this would be a great opportunity for Canadian athletes to come down, check out the UW campus, learn a ton of information from college coaches and pro players, and network with coaches in the NW while preparing for college/pro baseball.

DII- Kellen Walker, Western Oregon University Head Coach

DIII- Kainoa Correa, University of Puget Sound Assistant Coach

NAIA- Jeremiah Robbins, Lewis-Clark State College Head Coach

Junior College- Mark Yoshino, Bellevue College Head Coach

Pro Athlete- Matt Fields, Kansas City Royals MiLB All-Star

Pro Athlete- Mitch Canham, Kansas City Royals MiLB All-Star

And a NW pro scout

We will be covering topics such as: athletic and academic scholarship opportunities, what is the eligibility center/clearinghouse, NCAA recruiting guidelines, level of competition, roster sizes, time commitments, and much more.

As I am sure you all know, there are many things people are unaware of when preparing for the next level of playing collegiate or professional athletics. This will be a chance to not only listen to our speakers, but we will be having a Q&A at the end of our event so everyone in attendance can have a chance to communicate directly with our panel. 

I understand that you are all well connected in the baseball world and can reach out to many athletes who could gain a lot from this event. When: November 10th, 2013. Starts at 1:00pm. Ends at 3:30pm

Who: This event is open to all ages

Cost: $40 per seat if purchased online. $50 per seat at the door
