Arch Angels' Owner Mesho Morrow interview with STL TV 46
Posted March 25, 2014
Head Coach Jason Betts and Forward Gwen Ellis joined Owner Mesho Morrow for an interview with STL TV 46 on Tuesday, March 11th. The interview was about the Arch Angels desire to help people with their purpose and career paths as well as being able to provide professional opportunities within the game of basketball. Gwen Ellis is a testimony to this fact. She spoke about her association with us leading her into playing the game at the semi-pro level and then being hired on by me as a freshman basketball coach after her first season with the Arch Angels. This year I promoted her to the Head JV Coaching job as another one of my former players moved on. I encouraged Gwen to get into substitute teaching too since she wanted to become a teacher. So, Gwen followed through and completed the sub requirements and now subs regularly in the Ferg/Flor School District. While subbing she has discovered that the kids love her and it is inspiring her to finish her certification process to become a regular teacher one day. Gwen is well on her way to doing the two things that she loves, teaching and coaching basketball. She is a great example of what the Arch Angels are all about!
Head Coach Jason Betts is another example of the Arch Angels helping a people along their purpose and career paths. He aspires to be a full time Head Coach one day. He calls himself "baby Phil Jackson". Coach Jason started his basketball coaching career as a Middle School Head Coach and has worked his way up to the Head JV Coach at his high school and as an Assistant AD. So he spoke about the fact that he has been with the team for three years now and how he has moved up. Jason started with the Arch Angels as an Assistant Coach and was named as the Head Coach mid way through the first season, as the LORD moved me into focusing on being an owner full time. He talked about learning a lot from his previous two years and looking forward putting that information into action and being more competitive this upcoming season.
One of my greatest desires is to provide full time employment for all you work with the Arch Angels!
