Our worst nightmare has come true. We had our asses handed to us by a bunch of swashbuckling pirates. Okay, Dave's worst nightmare. The worst part of it is one of them was actually wearing an earring! I'm not kidding. There is no getting around it: This loss really hurts and it is clearly on the shoulders of the Sandrel brothers. Merv says he's afraid of pirates and Howard said he had a bad experience with one once. What is that about? Even without the Corsicans, we put up a good fight but came up two runs short. We played pretty solid defense for the most part, we just had trouble getting our offense going again. It seemed that every ball we hit landed right in a pirates glove. I hate when that happens. Our next game is at home against the other White Rock team. Lets hope there are no pirates on that team, but don't count on it.
