Royals win opener!
Posted May 15, 2014
The boys made the trek to Saskatoon last night to take on the Dodgers in the season opener. Paul Strueby started on the mound for the Royals throwing four solid innings. Eric Bollefer came in in relief and threw the final four....yes four innings. The game went into extras with the boys coming out on top by a 12-8 score. Offensively the Royals were strong pounding out ten hits with new Royal Cam Blair leading the way with three of those hits. The Royals also were pretty sharp defensively for the first game of the year making only one error. Next action for the Royals is next Thursday when they take on the Outlaws in Saskatoon beginning at 6:30pm.
