Outlaws drop to 3 and 6.
Posted June 6, 2014
The Outlaws took on the Blue Jays on Thursday night in hopes of clawing their way back to .500. The game finally got rolling at 9 :45 pm and the temperature was a balmy 5 degrees.
Frenchee started on the bump and allowed 3 in the first and 3 in the second before settling down for a scoreless third. The Jays bats were hot and they seemed to find a way to get on and produce runs.
Ben B came in relief and some timely hits and shoddy defense allowed the Jays to tack on another 9 in the final 4 innings. End result was 15 to 10 for the Jays.
Although the boys put up 10 runs, they stranded base runners several times, and couldnt seem to cash them in when they got close to tying it up.
On a positive note it was great to see Scotty and Lindy back on the field. As well doctor J making a cameo appearance.
Next action is Saturday at 12 pm against the Dodgers at Cairns field.
