Outlaws lose another one....

The boys took on the Dodgers for the saturday matinee at Cairns. In a theme that is becoming all too common, bad defense spotted the Dodgers 3 runs right off the hop. Combine that with stale bats and it becomes very difficult to win games.
Bess took the hill and pitched 6 strong innings, allowing 1 earned run out of 5. Arty came in for the last inning, allowing 1 run. One bright spot with the bats was Haywards triple which provided a little life but not enough to spark a comeback with the game ending up 6 to 2 for the Dodgers.
The boys have now put themselves in a tough spot to make the playoffs come August, and need to get it together and start playing something that resembles baseball. Hopefully they can bounce back into the win column tonight against the Guns.
Game time is 9:00 at Cairns.
