Father's Day Rained out......again
Posted June 16, 2014
The rain just could stay away again this past weekend although all the teams did get at least two games in. The Royals took on the Saskatoon Blue Jays in the first game and won by a score of 19-1. Eric Bollefer pitched a complete game while the defense didn't make an error. The bats were the story in this one as the Royals pounded out 20 hits in only five innings.
The Royals then took on the Carlyle Cardinals and behind the strength of a Luke Strueby complete game the Royals won by a score of 4-0. The defense was great again not making any errors and the offense had eight hits. The Royals were then scheduled to play the St. Albert Tigers but of course the rains came and completely washed out the tournament for the fourth consecutive year and ninth time in the last eleven years.
Next action for the Royals is this Sunday when they take on the Outlaws in Marysburg beginning at 1pm.
