Regular Season Ends Early: Playoffs Begin
Posted July 7, 2014
Due to the massive amount of rain, flooded roads, flooded basements, and chaos in the Parkland area, it was decided by the SESBL to cancel the final week of the regular season as of July 1st. As a result, the Supers final three games of the regular season were wiped off the schedule as they were to travel to Yorkton to play the Orioles, while hosting the Yorkton Yankees and Langenburg Indians.
With the end of the regular season, the standings were set based on the teams winning percentage, putting the Supers as the #4 seed, setting up a playoff rematch with the #5 seeded Langenburg Indians.
The first game of the best of three quarter-final series is set for Wednesday, July 9 in Canora at 6:30 PM. Game two is set for Monday, July 14 at 6:30 pm in Langenburg. Game three if necessary would be played in Canora on a date to be determined.
