The Outlaws took on the Blue Jays Saturday evening at Cairns in serach of their 5th win in a row.
Duvie took the bump and had a rough start, allowing 2 runs on several walks which led to Lindy taking over in the bottom of the 1st. The boys responded putting up 2 spot in the bottom half of the inning. The Outlaws added 5 more in the next few innings taking a 7 to 2 lead into the 5th. The Blue Jays scored 5 runs in the 5th and all of sudden a game that seemed to be well in control was now in the Jays favor. The 6th inning saw the Outlaws load the bags with no one out, but managed to score only one run on Cat's sacrifice fly. After a scoreless 7th, Dunner led off the bottom of the 8th with a walk, then stole 2nd. Gimmer moved him over to 3rd setting the table for Cat, who delivered another deep sac fly for the walk off run.
Not a pretty game by any means, but a win which improved the Outlaws record to 8 and 9 on the season, and puts the wining streak at 5 games.
Next action is Monday July 21st against the Dodgers at Leakos. 6 30 start.
