Bantam AAA alumni in Quebec; Pee Wee AAA Chuckers at the Westerns and Nationals
Three players from this season's Bantam AAA Chuckers, Ryder Mavis, Chris Cook and Kallan Collet, were with Team BC last weekend at the Pacific Northwest Championships in Centralia, Washington. The team is a handpicked representation of the best grade 9 players in the province, representing Baseball BC in the annual showcase event that features "area" scout teams from states such as Washington, Oregon, Idaho, and Montana.
Former Bantam AAA/MIdget AAA Chuckers Trevor Brammer and Braiden McCready made Team BC as BC Minor's entry in the Midget National Championships, August 17-23, in Magog, Quebec. Team BC finished a very respectable 4th in the tournament. Trevor and Braiden, both members of this season's Midget AAA Chuckers team, were a big part of our 2011 Bantam AAA team.
Three players from this season's Bantam AAA team, Ryder Mavis, Chris Cook and Kallan Collet, were with Team BC at the Pacific Northwest Championships in Centralia, Washington, August 14-17. The team was made up of some of the best grade 9 players in the province, representing Baseball BC in the annual showcase event. Longtime Bantam AAA Chuckers' coaches Ryan Klenman (head coach) and Troy Pennock were also on board in their now customary role as Team BC coaches.
Meanwhile in the Pee Wee ranks, four Chuckers were picked up and attended post-season championships. Josh Moscovitz and Peter Broderick went to the 13U Nationals with Abbotsford as Team BC, where they picked up Silver Medals. Reid Dawson and Jonathan McGill went to the 13U Westerns with Cloverdale, where they also won Silver Medals. All four were part of a great season for RCBA's Pee Wee program that saw the AAA team finish first overall in the summer season.
Congratulations to the former, and future, Bantam AAA Chuckers!
