Charlotte Invasion partners with Mecklenburg County Parks and Recreation to host Free Basketball Clinics at Bette Rae Thomas Center Charlotte, N.C. -
The Charlotte Invasion women’s semi-pro basketball team is set to host a series of free basketball clinics in conjunction with Mecklenburg County Parks and Recreation starting Saturday, October 4th and continuing through November 22nd. The free clinic, from 8 a.m. – 10 a.m. is open to youth ages 8-14 and will take place at the Bette Rae Thomas Recreation Center on Tuckaseegee Road in Charlotte.
The clinic is a great way to learn basketball skills from players and coaches alike. It is also an opportunity for the community to meet the Charlotte Invasion coaching staff and team. Charlotte Invasion partnered with the Bette Rae Thomas Recreation Center to serve as its home gym for basketball games during the 2014 inaugural season. “One of our main focal points when we started this organization was the community, and these free clinics are giving us the chance to hold tight to our mission,” says Charlotte Invasion owner, Tonya Phifer. Join them on Saturday, October 4th at 8 a.m. for the first clinic in this 8 week series. Pre-registration is required.
