Bantam Royals Get First League Win
Posted April 15, 2015
On Tuesday night the Bantam Royals played their second league game of the season, as they hosted the Burnaby Braves. The visitors held the edge through the early part of the game, as they held a seemingly insurmountable 6-0 heading to the bottom of the 7th inning. However, the Royals showed a resilient attitude, as they sent 11 men to the plate and came all the way back to win in walk-off fashion by a score of 7-6. Dylan Cragg hit a game-winning double to secure the victory. Brett Hoogstins recorded the win in relief, striking out the side in the top of the 7th. He also chipped in offensively with two single and two RBI's. The Royals get right back at it tomorrow night as they travel to Surrey for their first road game of the young season.
