5-16-15 The Flagler Bandits entered in the Naitons of Orlando "Sandcastle Smackdown" tournament in Holly Hill.
Game one vs. Brevard Plasma didn't go very well. The Bandits got smacked for an 18-0 loss. Not much positive in this game, but hits by Charlie Alfano (2B), Avery Throne, and Tim McCue.
Game two wasn't much better for the Bandits dropping an 11-0 game to the Big Diamond baseball club from Jacksonville. Again the positives were very few, but hits by Riley Clymer, Marc Maschio, Nick Toolsie, and Tim McCue.
5-17-15: Day 2 of the tournament saw the 7th seed Bandits vs. the 2nd seeded Brevard Plasma in a rematch of game one. Although the Bandits lost 9-2, this time the pitching and defense were much better. Hits were provided by Marc Maschio (2B) and Avery Throne (RBI).
Game 4 was the 7th seed Bandits vs. the 6th seeded Stingrays of South Daytona. Starter Cameron Quintana struggled through the first inning giving up 4 runs, but shut down the offense the next 3 innings before giving way to reliever Andrew Butler who pitched two shut-out innings. Hits were provided by Charlie Alfano (2-3), Lawrence Russo, Cameron Quintana, Avery Throne, Andrew Butler, and Tim McCue. The game ended on a play at the plate where Cameron Quintana was thrown out on a questionable call.
