Posted May 21, 2015
Senior pitcher Jacob Brugman, who was named first team all-league and a Clark County Senior All-Star this season, ended his recruitment and signed a letter of intent with Clackamas Community College in Oregon City, Oregon yesterday morning. Surrounded by family, coaches, and classmates, Brugman inked his named and accepted a full scholarship to play baseball for the Cougars starting in the fall of 2015. Clackamas finished 6-18 in NWAC play last season and 14-24 overall, but with a new coaching staff is expecting big things in the future.
Brugman led the Trapper pitching staff in innings pitched, wins, strikeouts, and earned run average this season while also playing short-stop and finishing second on the team in hitting. The right-hander was a four year letter winner for the Trappers and was named team captain and team MVP for each of his last three seasons in the Red and White. Brugman becomes the second Trapper in recent history to attend Clackamas, following 2012 graduate Hayden Heying.
