Dbacks Win 3 of 4 over Weekend

LEAKOS, SK: After losing a nail bitter to the Regina Athletics, the Dbacks settled in winning their next 3 games. In the first game of the weekend, the Dbacks only mustered two runs on 7 hits. Shane Soderberg pitched 6 innings allowing 5 hits, 2 earned runs, 2 BB and 4 K’s. Matt Scott finished things off going one inning with 2 BB and 1 K. Eric Clauson, Nolan Machibroda, Carter Dahl, Cody Murrfitt and Tyler Schlichemeyer were 1 for 3 at the dish, while Jarred Thompson was 1 for 2 and Connor Ingram was 1 for 4.
In the second game, the Dbacks came alive trouncing the A’s 13 to 1 behind a solid complete game performance on the mound by Owen Lindberg. Lindberg gave up one run on 3 hits with 2 BB’s and 3 K’s. Connor Ingram and Eric Clauson were both 2 for 3, while Graham Forrester was 1 for 2 and Carter Dahl was 1 for 1. Nolan Machibroda rounded out the hitting going 1 for 3.
In the wildest game of the weekend the Dbacks squeaked out a 6-5 walk off victory over the Giants as Eric Clauson came home following a volley of errors. Alex Grenier went 5.1 innings on the mound for the DBacks with 4 runs, 4 BB’s and 4 K’s. Tyler Schlichemeyer went 1.2 innings allowing 1 hit, 1 run and 2 BB’s. At the plate Connor Ingram and Eric Clauson were both 2 for 4 while Carter Dahl and Garrett Krawchuk were 2 for 3. Adam Sembalerus and Shane Soderberg were both 1 for 3.
In the fourth game the Diamondbacks were led offensively by Nolan Machibroda who went 3 for 4 with 4 RBI’s. Connor Ingram was also 3 for 4 while Shane Soderberg and Owen Lindberg each got 2 hits over 4 at bats. Eric Clauson and Carter Dahl were 1 for 4. Cody Murfitt and Adam Sembalerus were both 1 for 2. Graham Forrester started on the mound giving up 7 runs on 5 hits with 4 BB`s and 6 ERs. Matt Scott pitched the next 4.2 innings giving up 4 runs on 5 hits with 3 BBs and 2 K`s. Tyler Schlichemeyer pitched the final inning giving up 1 run on1 hit with 1 BB and 1 K.
