VA LADY VIKINGS 70 vs VA LADY STALLIONS 58
Opening season of the WBCBL league took off like a blast in the Hampton Roads area, which arrived so quickly. It was the battle of Virginia’s finest basketball players in the area. The VA Lady Vikings against the VA Lady Stallions. Fans, family, friends, AAU teams, and sponsors packed the gym while being entertained by great entertainment, which brought the attendance at the game to more than 100 spectators. This was a great way to start the season.
Being the first game of the season both teams started off slow and overly excited. By the end of the first half the Lady Vikings found themselves down by one, with the score being 27-28 Lady Stallions. At the start of the 3rd quarter, the Lady Vikings began to roll by applying pressure defense causing turnovers and outscored the Lady Stallions 23-9 for the quarter.
By the fourth quarter, the Lady Stallions made a huge run to cut the lead to five. However, the Lady Vikings were able to keep their composure by holding on with making key layups and making their free throws at the end of the game to finish with a victory of 70-58.
