Outlaws come up short against Marysburg
Posted June 5, 2015
The Outlaws took to the field on thursday against the Marysburg Royals in hopes of improving their record to 2 and 0.
Benny got the start and ran into some trouble early on with some walks and timely hits from the Royals. He settled in nicely after logging 4 innings and giving up 6 runs. Catmandu came in relief and shut the door for the last 3 innings.
The offense for the Outlaws was decent again, however couldnt manage the timely hits when they needed them, stranding runners in scoring position for most of the game. The end result was a 6 to 3 loss at the hands of the Royals.
One positive from the loss was the defense was great. 3 double plays were turned and the routine plays were made...other than Dunn's fly ball he tried to catch with a frying pan.Other than that a positive sign of things to come.
Next action for the Outlaws is Sunday June 7th at 6 pm at Cairns vs the Dodgers.
