Royals go 2-1 over the last three games

Posted June 8, 2015

Game two was against the Saskatoon Outlaws on June 4th.  Colin Bauml threw 4 innings to get the win and Eric Bollefer came in for the last three.  The boys were sharp defensively not making any errors and once again we got some clutch two hits to score some runs.

Game three was our home opener in  Marysburg against the Saskatoon Guns.  The boys defeated them by a score of 6-3.  Craig McWillie pitched a very strong five innings for the win, while Eric Bollefer came in and threw the last two innings.  Offensively the Royals only had six hits, but the pitching was strong and defensively we were solid making only one error.

Game four was the second game of the doubleheader against the Guns as well.  This game was a different story.  Matthew Strueby started on the mound and threw four strong innings.  However,  the defense let him down making five errors.  They scored nine runs on him but only 2 were earned.  The Royals battled hard to get back in the game, but the Guns came to play in this game and we didn’t. Final score was 18-8.
