Outlaws improve to 2 and 1
Posted June 8, 2015
The Outlaws took the field against the Dodgers on Sunday night to a capacity crowd at Cairns. Attendance reached double digits thanks to the Engdahl and Gimas families and the fans got their moneys worth.
Frenchee got the start and although he was in early season form , he managed to keep the Dodgers bats at bay, limiting them to one run through 4 innings. Lindy came in for the 5th and 6th and kept them scoreless, setting the table for old numb arm Gim to come in and close the door in the 7th. The Dodgers decided they would not go down without a fight and stormed back with 4 runs in the seventh. The Outlaws were able to salvage the W by bringing in Skip to record the one pitch save. The end result was a 6 to 5 win for the Outlaws, improving their record to 2 and 1 and getting 2 points that just about slipped away.
Next action is Thursday June 11 at 6 30 agains the Smokin Guns at Cairns.
