Posted June 11, 2015
CAIRNS FIELD, SK: When Owen Lindberg walked the first batter and gave up a single to the second, it looked like the Lloydminster Pirates were in for a big night at the dish. However, Lindberg settled down and the Diamondbacks bats came alive, allowing them to coast to a 9-0 victory over the Northwest Prairie Pirates. Lindberg went seven innings on the bump allowing 2 hits, 7 walks and 2 Ks. Nolan Machibroda lead the offence going 2 for 3 at the dish with three RBIs. Garrett Krawchuk was also 2 for 3 with a walk, an RBI and a run scored. Adam Sembalerus was 2 for 2 with a walk, Cody Murfitt and Alex Grenier were both 1 for 3, while Carter Dahl was 1 for 4.
The 12 and 4 Diamondbacks now host the league leading 13 and 1 Red Sox’s tonight at 9:00 pm at Cairns Field.
