Dbacks Sweep Parkland Expos

Melville, SK: The Saskatoon Diamondbacks came out ready to play on a beautiful Saturday afternoon coasting to 16‑4 and 14-4 victories over the Parkland Expos. Game 1 saw Alex Grenier pitch a complete game going 5 innings allowing 7 hits, 4 runs with 3 BB’s and 3 K’s. Offensively, the Dbacks were led by Nolan Machibroda who was 3 for 4 with a homerun and 4 RBIs. Adam Sambelarus was 3 for 3 with 3 RBI’s and Carter Dahl was 3 for 5 with an RBI. Jarred Thompson was 2 for 3 and Garrett Krawchuk went 1 for 3 with 3 RBIs. Tyler Schlichemeyer was 2 for 4 while Graham Forrester 1 for 4 .
Game 2 saw Matt Scott get the start on the mound going 3 2/3 innings allowing 2 hits, 4 runs with 9 BB’s. Garrett Krawchuk finished things off going 1 1/3 innings with 1 BB and 1 K. Offensively, Jarred Thompson and Eric Clausen each had three hits while Ryan Crilly and Nolan Machibroda both had two. Carter Dahl and Adam Sembelerus had one hit each.
The Dbacks are back in action next Tuesday June 16, 2015 when they host the third place Regina Expos at Cairns Field.
