Expos lose a close one in S'toon

Travelling to face the second place D'Backs on Tuesday night with only 9 players the Expos came out one the short end of a 4-2 game, considering that they only went with 9 players and were missing two of their big bats from the heart of their batting order they did very well. Despite a solid pitching effort from Christian Crossman who threw 6 complete innings allowing only 2 earned runs on just 8 hits while walking 3 and striking out 2, lack of timely hits cost the Expos the game. And costly errors again cost the Expos as they led to the two of the four D'Backs runs and the Expos bats could only manage 2 runs on 5 hits leaving runners in scoring position, at 3rd base in at least three innings.
Morgan Bogdan had his first double of the season to drive in the Expos 2nd run of the game in the 4th inning. Although their record drops to 10-8 they still sit in 3rd place in the league standings a 1/2 game up on the A's.
The Expos now travel to Lloydminster Saturday for a double-header against the Pirates.
