Giants Drop Dbacks 3-1

CAIRNS, SK - Relying on a strong outing by Danny Berg on the mound, the Saskatoon Giants defeated the Saskatoon Diamondbacks last night 3-1 at Cairns field. Berg went 6 innings giving up 2 hits with 10 strikeouts. Graham Forrester started on the mound for the Dbacks going 5 innings allowing 10 hits, 3 runs, 4 BB’s and 4 K’s.  Alex Grenier came in for the 6^th inning giving up 1 hit with 2 K`s.  Shane Soderberg was 1 for 2, while Cody Murfitt was 1 for 3. Jayden McKim had a pinch hit single.

Next action for the Dbacks is Thursday June 25 when they travel to Helena, Montana to take on the Calgary Redbirds in the 20^th Annual Keith Sell Tournament.
