Reds plummet

Posted June 19, 2015

The Reds Recent 7 game loosing streak is nothing new. Infact since Curent player manager Justin Johnson has taken over for the Reds the team has had many loosing streaks. It started with an 8 game win streak a few years back and now it has been nothing but down hill ever since. This years loosing streak comes as a surprise to many. Heres why, The current Reds roster may includes 24 players yes, and out of those 24, eight of the nine starters from last years team are back in the "everyday" line up. Lets just take a second here and look at the "everyday" line up from last year and compare it to this seasons. Top to bottom you have only one new face. Now one would ask why such a rough and rocky season so far in 2015? I mean if you bring back your top starter Matt Morin and add a couple of pitchers like Ryan paasch and Richie Navratil. You would think that you would be adding wins instead of losses right? NO that is not the case. Why? Why one might ask why cant the Reds put together a nine inning game with a roster that has 24 players on it. Look at some of the Talent that may not be in the "everyday" A line up that the local comunity has seen have a prettty good highschool/college careers. Well if you havent been able to come to a Reds game let me describe it as i have seen a couple this season and its pretty sick. First off the Reds have so much to offer but cant seem to put it all together if even for a couple of innings or at bats. They are constantly giving the other team outs. (errors) Those have been very plentiful on defence even tho last night in Thief river they turned two double plays and even threw a guy out at home, but again an error here and an error there and the score is 5-3 Thieves instead of maybe 3-2 Reds. So ok lets clean that up and see whats happens, But then again you cant win many games if you dont have any offence. So when you are watching and players are getting picked off second or third base or your not tagging up to score from third or are unable to get bunts down to move runners up in tight ball games things like that would be reasons your record is 2-10 and 0-8 in North West Boarder league play. You can not continuously have the bases loaded and only score one or zero runs and exspect to win baseball games. So the real question is can the Reds pull it together or not. Maybe its time for them to look them selves in the mirror and have a little gut check. Any who thats my blog for the half ways point in the season good luck Reds the rest of the way. Oh and Ps they have added two more games to the schedule june 26th at Thompson ND and July 8th at home vs Thompson. I have heard that there may be possible a rematch this season from last year vs the Local Post 20 team who is off and running. Talk to you all at the end of the season and thanks agian
