UNC's Kristen Brown Named Third Team All-America

OKLAHOMA CITY – University of North Carolina shortstop Kristen Brown has been named a 2015 Third Team All-America selection by the National Fastpitch Coaches Association as announced on Wednesday.
The slugger from Levittown, NY had a record-breaking year for the Tar Heels in 2015. The junior topped the school mark for home runs in a single season, 24, RBI in a single season, 67, as well as the career long ball record with 47 and counting.
A 2015 First Team All-ACC selection, Brown paced the conference in home runs, RBI, and slugging percentage at .853.
She is the first Tar Heel softball player to earn All-America honors since Danielle Spaulding in 2010.
