CAIRNS, SK - Every team goes through its ups and downs at the plate over the course of a season, and the Saskatoon Diamondbacks (17-18 overall and 15-7 in conference play) are definitely missing the offensive pop they showed at the start of the year. The D-Backs have lost six of their past seven games, largely because of a severe offensive slump. They collected only three scattered hits in this game, scoring one run in the fifth inning. Graham Forrester gave up 4 earned runs over 4 innings on the mound, while Matt Scott gave up three runs over 1 and 2/3 innings. Tyler Schlichemeyer finished things off allowing one run over the final innings. Jordan Malainey and Cody Murfitt were both 1 for 2 at the dish, while Connor Ingram was 1 for 1.
The D-Backs next game is Friday July 3, 2015 at 6:30 pm when they take on the Giants.
