Three Rivers win 2 on the 4th

Three Rivers won both games today to earn a berth in the championship game tomorrow at noon in the Mickey Merriam Tournament in Seattle.
It took 9 innings in the 1st game againt the EnFuego Futures before Scott Gordan hit a 2 RBI walk-off single for the 6-5 win. Ken Thrall and Jon Bennison each added 2 hits. Brad Snow pitched 7 strong innings allowing only 3 earned runs on 7 hits but the win went to Matt Engholm who allowed just 2 hits in 2 innings of relief.
The 2nd game of the day against the Queen City Reds was much easier as Three Rivers won 8-0 in 5 innings. Griffin Kaufmann threw a 2 hit shut- out. Scott Gordon and Kyle Springer lead the Sandblasters with 2 hits apiece while Joe Hixenbaugh added 3 RBI's.
The Championship Game will be a rematch against the EnFuego Elite who beat Three Rivers 4-2 on Thursday.
