Sandblasters drop league game

Three Rivers lost a Zone 3 game Tuesday afternoon to the DeMarini Post 20 Dirtbags 7-4 at WOU. Jonathon Bennison pitched 6 strong innings allowing only 7 hits and 3 earned runs but 3 untimely errors proved to be the difference. The Sandblasters ended up with 7 hits, 2 apiece by Zach Inskeep and Ricky Jones, but also had 9 strikeouts.
They finish up their league series today with the Dirtbags with a doubleheader starting at 1 PM at Siuslaw HS. The Sandblasters are currently in 4th place in the Zone 3 standings which will qualify them for postseason play but they are only a 1/2 game ahead of both Corvallis and Stayton.
