Royals Lose to Blue Jays
Posted July 8, 2015
The Royals were finally back in action in league play last night in Saskatoon against the Blue Jays. It had been a two week layoff for most of the team and the rust showed. We lost by a score of 2-1. Provincial pickup Taylor Elder pitched a strong 4 and 2/3 and Dean Jaeb threw 2 and a 1/3. Both pitchers threw well. The defense was pretty good behind them only making one error. Although we only scored one run we managed ten hits with Curtis Strueby, Dustin Emberley, and Brent Puetz leading the way with two a piece. The Royals stranded 12 runners in the loss. Back at it tonight in Saskatoon against the Stallions!!
