Newman and McMain showed off how good their offenses can be in Friday night's shootout, but the Greenies had a little more firepower to win 46-36.
Newman started off quickly with a 13-0 lead, but McMain's offense came back to make it a closer ball game.
For Newman, Miles Lapeyre threw for three touchdowns and 258 yards and ran for an additional three touchdowns on the ground. James Poche rushed for 129 yards and a touchdown on 29 carries.
"It was a really big win for us," said Newman coach Nelson Stewart. "Poche really did well running between the tackles and it really clicked well with Miles' play tonight on offense."
