1st Place Finish

Waverly's Bteam had a first place finish in the South Division of the Middle Tennessee Athletic Conference for regular season. The Lady Wildcats pulled a first-round bye with the #4 seed of the North Division not fielding a team. Waverly's first opponent of the tournament was the Hickman County Lady Bulldogs. In the two meetings during regular season, these two teams had split, each winning on the others home court. The Lady Wildats came away victorious winning in two sets, 25-22 and 26-24. Next opponent for Waverly was the Charlotte Lady Tigers in the championship match!

In the two matches between the Lady Tigers and the Lady Wildcats, both had gone 3 sets with Charlotte taking both wins. But, Waverly brought some determination for this match, especially with it being a championship match. The Lady Wildcats fell behind in both sets of the match, but held together and pulled away with both set wins, 25-21 and 25-21. The Lady Wildcats came away MTAC Tournament Champions!!!
