Midget AAA Division to be Tiered in 2016

Posted March 5, 2016

The BC Minor Baseball 18U AAA (Midget) division will be split in to two tiers for the 2016 season.  The Ridge Meadows Royals, the defending league and provincial champions, will be one of eight teams in the top tier.  The others will be the Chilliwack Cougars, Cloverdale Nationals, Kamloops Riverdogs, Nanaimo Buccaneers, Tri-City Indians, Vancouver Mounties, and the West Kelowna Diamondbacks.  The remaining teams will play in the lower tier.

Teams in the top tier will play a 42-game league schedule, which will see each team play every other team six times.  The playoff format will be a best-of-3 during the first weekend, with all four winning teams advancing to a Final 4 round robin tournament.
