Dbacks Drop Season Opener to Dinos

LETHBRIDGE - On a cold day, at Lloyd Nolan Park, the Saskatoon Diamondbacks played thier first game of the season, losing 5-0 to the Calgary Junior Dinos. The Dbacks only managed two hits over 7 innings. Alex Grenier started on the mound going three innings. Bryce Libke pitched 1 inning before leaving the game in the next inning with an upper body injury. Zak Krysak finished up for Libke and Jared Thompson pitched the last two to finish the game. Thompson was named player of the game for the Dbacks. The Dbacks travel to Spitz Field on Saturday to take on the Trail Orioles and the Vauxhall Jets.
