Dbacks steal two from Pirates

CAIRNS, SK - The Dbacks came out of the gate slow but certainly got the offense going winning 5-3 in game 1 and 15-2 in game 2. Nolan Machibroda started on the mound going 5 innings allowing 7 hits, 3 runs, 2 earned runs with 1 BB’s and 5 K’s. Zak Krysak earned the save going 2 innings allowing 1 hit with 2 K’s. Offensively, the Dbacks were led by Ryan Olchoway who was 2 for 3 with 2 RBIs. Ryan Crilly was 2 for 3 and Garrett Krawchuk was 2 for 4. Nolan Machibroda, Carter Dahl, Jayden McKim and Jared Thompson were all 1 for 3. Shane Soderberg rounded out the offense going 1 for 2.
Game 2 saw Alex Grenier pitch a complete game going 5 innings allowing 5 hits, 2 runs, 1 earned run with 2 BB’s and 6 K’s. Offensively, the Dbacks were led by Nolan Machibroda who was 2 for 2 with four RBI’s including a 3 run homer. Bryce Libke was 3 for 4, Zak Krysak was 3 for 3 and Ryan Crilly was 2 for 3. Garrett Krawchuk, Carter Dahl and Ryan Olchoway were all 1 for 3. Alex Grenier and Tyrone Polson both went 1 for 4.
The Dbacks will take on the Cubs Tuesday night at 9:00 pm @ Cairns Field.
