Royals Sweep Diggers

The Royals took to the field for a doubleheader against the Diggers yesterday. In game one the Royals brought the bats as they belted out seventeen hits in a 15-5 win over. Nick Anderson got the win on the mound and Luke Strueby came in and pitched the final inning. The Royals did not make an error once again. Braden Bauml, Dustin Emberley, and Dean Jaeb all went deep in the victory.
The second game saw the Royals win by an 8-4 score. The Royals scored four runs in the bottom of the sixth to break the tie. Mathew Strueby pitched a strong 5 2/3 with Eric Bollefer getting the win in relief. The offense had ten hits with Braden Bauml and Brent Puetz each hitting a homerun in the win. The defense was solid making only one error.
Next action for the Royals is Tuesday at 6:30 when they take on the Outlaws at Cairns Field.
