Medicine Hat wins Bronze over Dbacks

LETHBRIDGE - It is not often that you can win one game and make it to the bronze medal game. However, the Dbacks did just that on the weekend at the Mary Oikawa Mememorial Tournament. On Saturday night the Dbacks defeated the Lethbridge Elks. This left them at 1-3 along with the Cubs and the Bulls. However, the Dbacks outstanding pitching and stellar defence over their first 4 games gave them the birth into the bronze medal game. The Dbacks held their own over the Monarchs for the first three innings before collapsing in the fourth, losing 11-1 to the Medicine Hat Monarchs.
On Saturday, the Dbacks lost 5-4 to the Lethbridge Bulls before upsetting the previously undefeated Elks 8-5.
