Sox in Second Place in State Line

A 6-4 victory over the Harrisburg Woodies on Wednesday night, June 15 in Vermillion put the Vermillion Greysox alone in second place at week's end.  The victory moves Vermillion to 4-1 overall in State Line League play.

Jamie Jorgensen held the Woodies to just 9 hits in as many innings as he again earned a complete game victory.  Jorgensen also struck out nine while only walking two batters in the top half of the 8th inning. 

Jayce Huska and Tanner Anderson led the Vermillion offense with two hits apeice.  Jay Thaler added a double in knocked in two RBI. 

The Sox have the weekend off and travel to Crofton for a battle with the Blue Jays in non-league action on Wednesday, June 22.  On Sunday, June 26, the Greys will take the short trip up I-29 to meet up with the Beresford Blues in a league contest.  Earlier this year, the Greys beat the Blues at home 12-5.
